An old dance originating with immigrants in the bordellos of Argentina, the Argentine Tango is an exotic and sensual dance with many changes in mood and tempo to reflect the music. The upper bodies are held upright and close, with faces almost touching. The man's right hand is pressed against the woman's back guiding her, while his left hand is clasped together in hers and extended outwards. The lower body does most of the work for both partners. The woman's hips swivel and her legs alternate in short or wide sweeps and quick kicks, sometimes between the man's legs. If you like a sensual dance with loads of style, sophistication and passion, Argentine Tango is the dance for you. Salon Tango is danced in an anti-clockwise direction around the dance floor, making the tango walk an important element of this dance. To view course content click here:-Lesson Content |
