What Should I Expect at a Beginner Dance Class?

You don't need to arrive knowing any dance steps. We'll introduce the movements and help you build them up gradually.

Don't worry about getting everything right immediately. Learning to dance takes practice, and everyone in the room had a first dance class once.

Come prepared to learn, practise and enjoy yourself. As your experience grows, movements that initially seem unfamiliar will begin to feel much more natural.

Keep It Simple

What Should I Wear?

You don't need expensive dance clothing or specialist equipment for your first class.

Wear comfortable clothes that allow you to move freely. Comfortable footwear that stays securely on your feet is a good place to start.

If you decide that dancing is for you, you can always consider specialist dance shoes later.

Something New

Why Learn to Dance?

People start dancing for all sorts of reasons. You may want to learn a new skill, enjoy music in a different way, improve your coordination, meet people or simply become more confident on the dance floor.

Whatever your reason for starting, our aim is to provide a welcoming Belfast dance class where you can learn without feeling under pressure.
